Special Juvenile Police Unit

Special Juvenile Police Unit: Sanrakshan collaborated with 31 police stations in Bengaluru city, as well as the Directorate of Child Protection and Department of Police to coordinate the rescue of children from various situations. These situations include construction sites, hotels, cases of domestic conflict, abandoned, homeless or street children, missing or kidnapped children, children engaged in begging, child victims of physical or sexual abuse and children trafficked for labor or prostitution. Sanrakshan adheres to support the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) in counseling children alleged to be in conflict with the law and those in need of care and protection. This professional will assist the unit in adhering to legal procedures when dealing with juvenile offenders, preparing case studies, and coordinating with the SJPU and the Child Welfare Committee to assist these children.
Through the SJPU project, a minimum of 150 children will receive counseling and legal assistance services across 31 police stations in the Central and West Divisions.
